Written by Chelsea Castonguay Stanhope | 23/03/21 10:00

For many students across the world, one of the greatest barriers to higher education is how to obtain the necessary funding to pay for their studies. University can be expensive, and determining how to finance those costs can sometimes feel overwhelming for new students. With the uncertainty of the 2020, more and more students are wondering if a higher education is something that is within their reach.

At Keystone Academic Solutions, we understand the importance of education, and are committed to helping students make the greatest decision of their lives, finding the right study program. We also want to also help them not only make this decision but also be able to turn it into a reality. As a result, we are pleased to announce the inaugural Keystone scholarship.

This scholarship program is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students who are currently planning or applying to undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.

How many scholarships are available?

There are six scholarships in total up for grabs, including:

  • Four new undergraduate students can win scholarships worth 2000 USD each.
  • Two prizes for incoming graduate student; one for 10000 USD and another awarding 4000 USD.

The program is open to students who “are 18 or older when they start the program and are planning to study a full-time undergraduate or graduate program.” This is a great program for our partnering schools to recommend to their students as a scholarship opportunity.

Who can apply?

This scholarship scheme is open to any prospective student “who has [a] good academic background and are able to demonstrate a motivation to transform the world through their education.” The undergraduate scholarship applies specifically for students who are incoming to a university, so this is a great program for admissions, financial aid, and student affairs departments to recommend to their students.

Finding funding for postgraduate studies can often be more be more strenuous than funding an undergraduate degree program. Therefore, students should be encouraged to apply for the Keystone postgraduate scholarship as well. Information about this scholarship would be great for postgraduate programs to share with incoming students to their postgraduate programs.

How to apply:

  • Ask students to sign up on this form, which will give them access to the StudentHub. It’s easy, and gives them access to lots of resources. They will need to supply basic information, such as their name, birthday, nationality, and plans for higher education.
  • Submit an information request form to at least one of the universities listed on a Keystone website
  • Encourage students to log into their StudentHub account to complete the scholarships before the May 31st, 2021 deadline. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted for this selection process.
  • Students should then submit a letter of acceptance from one of the recommended schools to Keystone Academic Solutions to let us know they plan to attend one of those schools.
  • Students will be notified if they’ve been selected.

Understanding that many students are struggling to pay for university is the first step in helping them figure out how to make their dreams of a higher education a reality. Helping students navigate the process of applying for financial aid, grants, and scholarships, including Keystone’s scholarships, encourages students to commit to your university.

Sharing this information with incoming students is a great way to get them on the right track towards success.
