2022 Higher Ed Conference Calendar

With the pandemic finally slowing down in many parts of the world, the return to in-person events and conferences is likely to come in 2022 and beyond.

As the world begins to open up again, many events are likely to be a hybrid of both virtual and in-person, yet many will celebrate the ability to bring like-minded higher ed professionals together again. 

Here is a list of all of the higher education conferences around the globe in 2022, with information on who should attend and what some of the highlights will be.

APAIE 2022 Conference & Exhibition

Dates: March 27-31, 2022

Location: Virtual

The Asia Pacific Association for International Education Conference & Exhibition brings together experts from around the globe to discuss topics related to international education in relation to the Asia Pacific market. Leaders in cultural experience, international education, government policy, indigenous communities, and presidents and directors in higher education will come together to discuss a range of topics that can help international students prosper at your institution. 

Who should attend: International educators, policymakers, and higher education officials with an Asian-Pacific target market.

 

AMBA & BGA Global Conference 2022

Dates: May 15-18, 2022

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, Virtual

The 2022 AMBA & BGA global conference gathers some of the world’s leading Deans and directors of MBA programs around the world to discuss issues related to business school education programs. The conference brings together educators and entrepreneurs/CEOs to discuss ways to further business education in the coming years, even as industries change and technologies become more advanced. The program addresses local and global problems for educators to consider as they look toward the future of business education.

Who should attend: Higher education professionals including deans and directors of business schools and MBA programs as well as those focused on business education.

NAFSA 2022 Annual Conference & Expo

Dates: May 31-3 June, 2022

Location: Denver, Colorado

The National Association of Foreign Student Advisors will gather once again in 2022 to discuss issues related to foreign students and international education programs. This year the program will discuss issues related to foreign student affairs, education, and navigation of the education system in a post-pandemic world. A virtual-only pass is available to educators that can’t attend the conference in-person.

Who should attend: International educators and administrators, as well as policy experts.

Slate Summit 2022

Dates: June 16-17, 2022

Location: Nashville, Tennesee

The annual Slate Summit returns to an in-person format in 2022, as part of the 2022 Slate Innovation festival of activities, and is bound to be an exciting event full of best practices and insights from the Slate higher ed community. 

Who should attend: Educators and higher education experts currently using Slate CRM and those with interests in marketing automation & CRM innovation for higher education.

 

EAIE Conference 2022

Dates: September 13-16, 2022

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Europe’s largest international education event will take place in Barcelona, Spain this year with the 32nd annual European Association for International Education conference. This year’s event will focus on “pushing the limits on creativity, innovation and change” as international educators navigate a new normal as the effects of the pandemic ease. Other themes this year will address reconnections with global partners, and allow networking in-person for the first time since 2019.

Who should attend: International educators, administrators and educators with a European target market.

 

NACAC 2022 Conference

Dates: September 22-24, 2022

Location: Houston, Texas

The National Association for College Admissions Counseling annual conference takes place in Houston, Texas this year. The annual event brings together experts in the college admissions field to discuss ways to streamline the college admissions process, nurture student leads and expand marketing efforts in the digital age. The conference also emphasizes the importance of on-campus facilities and activities that help students enhance their on-campus experience and mental/physical health.

Who should attend: College admissions specialists and recruitment counselors in the United States.

 

THE World Academic Summit 2022

Dates: October 10-12, 2022

Location: New York City, New York

THE World Academic Summit, which will partner with New York University in 2022 brings together experts and leading voices in the higher education industry to discuss issues and solutions to rising expectations in higher education as we navigate the world in the new decade. Speakers at the event include higher education experts around the world, such as Presidents of various global institutions and directors of university programs in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

Who should attend: Deans, directors and policy makers at University programs from around the globe.

 

AIEC Gold Coast 2022

Dates: October 18-21, 2022

Location: Gold Coast, Australia and Virtual

The 2022 Australian International Education Conference will address concerns and solutions related to international education and the Australian market. Experts and educators at the event will allow in-person networking and will bring together experts in the international education field to discuss topics directly related to Australia and the Pacific.

Who should attend: Deans, directors and policy makers at University programs with an Australian and Asian-Pacific target market.

 

ICEF Berlin 2022

Dates: October 30-November 1, 2022

Location: Berlin, Germany and Virtual

The annual International Consultants for Education and Fairs conference will return in 2022 for one of the largest international education networking events in the world. The conference brings together experts in the international and higher education fields to present networking opportunities, discuss important issues and topics related to higher education, and deliver important seminars that can help further the field in 2022 and beyond.

Who should go: Universities working with agencies, language schools and service providers in the higher education industry.
