2023 Higher Ed Conference Calendar

2022 saw the higher education conference world spring back into action. Many conferences saw record numbers of vendors, attendees, sessions and speakers, as the higher ed sector returned to make the most of networking opportunities.

With the industry now looking forward to the 2023/24 student cycle, here is a list of higher education conferences from around the globe this year, with information on who should attend and what some of the highlights will be.

APAIE 2023 Conference & Exhibition

Dates: March 13-17, 2023

Location: Bangkok

The Asia Pacific Association for International Education Conference & Exhibition brings together experts from around the globe to discuss all things international education in the Asia Pacific market. In addition to presentations, the Exhibition will also provide the ever-popular 'regional reports', as well as networking and information on programs, study tours, and products and services to support the internationalization of universities. 

The focus of the conference is on the future sustainability of international education across one of the most diverse regions of the world.

Who should attend: International educators, policymakers, and higher education officials with an Asian-Pacific target market.

 

NAFSA 2023 Annual Conference & Expo

Dates: May 30-2 June, 2023

Location: Washington, DC

The National Association of Foreign Student Advisors will gather once again in 2023 in the US to discuss issues related to foreign students and international education programs.

This year is the 75th anniversary of NAFSA, with the conference bringing together the global community to reflect and celebrate NAFSA's legacy- renewing their commitment to diversifying the voices that shape the international education field.

Slate Summit 2023

Dates: June 1-2, 2023

Location: Nashville, Tennesee

The annual Slate Summit returns to Nashville, with a conference packed full of networking and insights into the student lifecycle.

Who should attend: Educators and higher education experts currently using Slate CRM and those with interests in marketing automation & CRM innovation for higher education.

 

EAIE Conference 2023

Dates: September 26-29, 2023

Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Europe’s largest international education event will take place in Rotterdam this year with the 33rd annual European Association for International Education conference. This year’s event will focus on “connecting currents” as educators celebrate the fast-moving and unpredictable landscape of student recruitment. From virtual learning to climate action, multilingualism to geopolitics, educators can draw insights and experts from the diverse higher ed community. 

Who should attend: International educators, administrators and educators with a European target market.

 

NACAC 2023 Conference

Dates: September 21-23, 2022

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

The National Association for College Admissions Counseling annual conference takes place in Baltimore, Maryland next year. The annual event brings together experts in the college admissions field to discuss ways to streamline the college admissions process, nurture student leads and expand marketing efforts in the digital age. The conference is the perfect opportunity to stay up-to-date on industry trends and bring together many secondary and postsecondary college admission counseling professionals to share best practices and industry insights. 

Who should attend: College admissions specialists and recruitment counselors in the United States.

 

THE World Academic Summit 2023

Dates: September 26-28, 2022

Location: Sydney, Australia

THE World Academic Summit in 2023 will focus on the theme of collaboration, looking at the role of higher education leaders and policymakers in diversifying and broadening ambitions and approaches to current global education systems.

The summit will bring together some of the world's most influential leaders and change-makers to discuss how institutions can best collaborate.

AIEC 2023

Dates: October 10-13, 2022

Location: Adelaide, Australia and Virtual

The 2023 Australian International Education Conference will address the visionary and transformative related to international education and the Australian market. The 2022 conference had a record attendance, over 210 speakers and 100+ sessions. 

Experts and educators at the event will be brought together to discuss topics directly related to Australia and the Pacific.

Who should attend: Deans, directors and policy makers at University programs with an Australian and Asian-Pacific target market.

 

ICEF Higher Education 2023

Dates: October 2-4, 2023

Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The annual International Consultants for Education and Fairs conference will return in 2023 for one of the largest international education networking events in the world. The conference brings together experts in the international and higher education fields, from both student recruitment agents and universities, to present networking opportunities, discuss important issues and topics related to higher education, and deliver important seminars that can help further the field in 2022 and beyond.

Who should attend: Universities working with agencies, language schools and service providers in the higher education industry.
