Keystone Enrolment Services launches in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, partnering with the University of Waikato

Student conversion specialists bring global expertise to address sector challenges in student recruitment and engagement.

Waikato, New Zealand - 7th October, 2025

Keystone Education Group today announces the launch of its Enrolment Services division in Australia and New Zealand, alongside a new partnership with the University of Waikato – marking a significant step in expanding their global student engagement capabilities.

Keystone Enrolment Services brings the proven expertise of UniQuest – acquired by Keystone Education Group in 2021 and the UK’s leading specialist in student enquiry management and conversion – to new markets under a refreshed brand.

The partnership with the University of Waikato marks a pivotal first step in the region, supporting New Zealand’s ‘Going for Growth’ strategy to increase international enrolments to 119,000 by 2034. The collaboration is designed to enhance student engagement and diversify the University’s international student population through high-impact, scalable conversion support.

This comes at a time when universities are navigating complex recruitment and policy environments, fluctuating demand, and rising student expectations. Keystone will provide institutions with evidence-driven, high-touch solutions for enquiry management and conversion, designed to deliver measurable outcomes and operational efficiency.

“We’re delighted to be working alongside a university that is not only committed to diversifying its international student community but is also helping to shape the future of international education in the region.

“With experience supporting over 85 universities globally, our team will work as an extension of the University of Waikato’s recruitment function – turning student enquiries into enrolments through responsive engagement and behavioural insight.”

Students expect to engage with universities now as they do with other brands and are seeking more detailed information to inform their study decisions. Responsiveness, authenticity and accuracy are paramount in supporting students through this process.

Across the region, universities are facing increased pressure on in-house teams and budgets, intensified by evolving technologies, recruitment cycles, and a sharper focus on acquisition cost and return on investment.

Sharon Calvert, Assistant Vice Chancellor of International, Engagement and Partnerships, at the University of Waikato, said:

We’re delighted to be partnering with Keystone Enrolment Services to strengthen our internal capabilities and to continue to grow and diversify our international student community.

“From the outset, the team impressed us with their sector insight, innovative approach, and commitment to partnership. Their model integrates seamlessly with our operations and reflects the high standards we set for student engagement and conversion.”

“We’re focused on helping institutions engage prospective students with speed, relevance and clarity. By combining experienced teams with data-led strategies, Keystone Enrolment Services ensures every student receives the attention they need to make informed decisions – and no opportunity is missed”, Rachel added.

Together, Keystone Enrolment Services and the University of Waikato will deliver a world-class experience for prospective international students – combining behavioural insight, sector expertise and data-led strategies to ensure every student receives timely, personalised guidance through the right channels, at every step of their decision-making journey.
