Keystone Education Group has been awarded the higher education award at the prestigious 2023 EdTechX awards in London on Thursday (June 22).

The EdTechX awards celebrate organizations that combine innovation and real-world impact on technology within the education sector, with judges narrowing down finalists and winners based on criteria including market scale, innovation, growth, and impact.

After winning the award, CEO of Keystone Education Group Fredrik Högemark paid tribute to the company’s evolution into Keystone Education Group, following the mega-merger between former student search providers Keystone Academic Solutions and Educations Media Group (EMG) in 2021.

“Our vision at Keystone has always been to empower people through education. We work with millions of students across the globe to help them find the best education path for them, and with thousands of institutions to help them secure the best-fit students," Fredrik said.

“To receive our first EdTechX award marks a special occasion for Keystone after going through a period of substantial growth in the past few years and are pleased to see that our brand and reputation continue to grow in the industry.

"It was a proud moment to win, especially amongst so many other trailblazing EdTech companies, and I couldn’t be more thankful to our team for making Keystone the success it is.”

Keystone Education Group has grown substantially in the past three years – most recently with the acquisition of German student search platform studddy in April as it continues its growth plan to boost its offerings to higher education institutions with investments across a variety of projects.

“We are also investing in artificial intelligence to both help make the student journey smoother for both student and universities, improving the overall experience for all to help the students of both today and tomorrow,” he said.

Additionally, it has furthered its position as the market leader for international and domestic student recruitment in the Nordics through the acquisitions of agencies SONOR and Blueberry, and the UK, following the acquisition of UniQuest and FindAUniversity in 2021.
